Geordan Keller on his "Image Overlay Utility" website currently says that he is having trouble with virus checkers detecting the exe file as malware. I can vouch that IOU isn't malware, but I find I have to add the folder that contains IOU to my virus checker's exclusion list or else it 'quarantines' the exe file. A bit of a pain, but otherwise I have found it the best of the transparency overlay apps that I have tried.

Same as below! Reformatted and now it seems I've lost this wonderful program forever :( so gutted. Tried alternatives but nothing comes close. If anyone has the installer please contact me (and post it here!) marcuslee8888=at=outlook.com

Image Overly Utility - a great little program I had installed a couple of years ago, unfortunately the damned bitbucket repo is down, unsure why and I can't find any alternative links nor can I find any contact information for Geordan Keller

Looks like time's run out to get hands on a copy of the software, unless Geordan puts up another page somewhere, I can't find any information on them, or a website. Shame really, was an awesome little app.

Maybe Archipel (author of other review here) might be able to divulge more?

What is Image Overlay Utility?

Image Overlay Utility is a small, easy-to-use program for graphic artists to overlay transparent, click-through images anywhere on screen!

Use it as virtual tracing paper for painting, sketching, or tracing under an image (in graphics software which doesn't have layers), for unobtrusive watermarks during live demos, presentations, and screencasts, or simply for referencing graphics somewhere on the screen during the artistic process.

There are transparency, flipping, rotation, and scaling features, as well as an edge detection feature for when you just want to work with lines. The image is always on top but can be hidden using the opacity slider.

Supported image formats include BMP, animated GIF, ICO, JPEG, transparent PNG, and TIFF.
