It's not open-source, only some minor parts of it are on github but not the core frontend or backend. Still, a nice app - there's a way to self-host it or use without an account.
A beautiful trapware. I purchased Lifetime Premium upgrade for ~100,000IDR (~7USD) during 20% discount in April 2019. The next day, the app tried to sell Membership subscription with 50% off. I was confused because I already have the premium upgrade. Then I found out that I purchased Lifetime Premium upgrade for Android when I accessed my Journey account through PC browser. There was no telling that I was about to purchase Lifetime Premium upgrade only for one platform and I needed that Membership subscription to be able to use premium features across platforms.
One of their no-refund policy says: "Assuming that one purchase will unlock premium features across all platforms." I am certain they did it on purpose. The developers are crooks. This kind of business practice deserves bankruptcy.
I reinstalled this app in Dec 2020 to check what's up and I found that they now have made it clear that Lifetime Premium upgrade is for particular platform on upgrade menu. Shame.
Avoid this company.
This app can capture the exif info to display the location and wheather, It's a great App. give my best wishes to the author.
I have never written a journal or used one but this app was compelling enough for me to start writing my own journal. Please continue to develop even more intuitive user experience and design :)
