What is Kafma?

Kafma is a desktop Kafka GUI client and IDE for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Its Console treats each topic as a persistent tab, keeping messages, the producer, topic details, schemas, and consumer state in one workspace. Consume and produce records, automatically decode Avro and Protobuf, inspect consumer groups and lag, replay messages, and forward records across clusters.

Data Clone recreates a remote topic in a local cluster with its configuration, schemas, and a selected range of messages. Optional masking rules can protect sensitive fields while data is copied, helping developers reproduce issues locally without modifying the source topic.

Kafma connects directly from the user’s device to self-hosted Kafka, Confluent Cloud, and Amazon MSK. It does not require a Kafma account or proxy Kafka data through Kafma servers. Free and Pro plans are available.
