We are building a one-stop shop collaborative platform for teachers, providing them with a series of tools that save time and improve their performance.
One of the main problems faced by teachers in Brazil is the lack of time. In addition to the period dedicated to in-classroom teaching, they also perform several after-school tasks such as classes and exams preparation, exams correction and document filling. This directly impacts their quality of life and work , particularly in private schools, where compensation is based on the number of class hours, not considering activities outside the classroom.
On the other hand, there are lots of talented teachers all around Brazil producing quality educational resources, but which end up being used only by them. Besides, most companies that create teaching materials hire authors only from major cities, such as Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Thus, we intend to give teachers from all over the country the opportunity to share their resources and, with that, have an extra source of income and receive recognition from their peers.
Lecionas' first step in this direction is a question bank that facilitates the preparation of exams, which was pointed out in the interviews as one of the most time-consuming activities performed by teachers. Every teacher can submit their questions, which are
analyzed by our reviewers. Once approved, these questions are made available to our subscribers, and the authors receive a fee for each download of their questions.
