What is Lemma Languages?

Most language apps hand you the same lesson they hand a million other people, and you outgrow it. Lemma generates yours.

It starts with an adaptive placement test that measures six skills separately — vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking — instead of giving you one number. From there every flashcard, short story, audio capsule, eight-chapter novel and conversation is generated at that exact level, and recalibrated as you improve.

That design answers the problem most learners hit in the middle: material made for your level runs out, and native content is still too hard. With Lemma there is no catalog to exhaust — the content rises with you, up to C2.

Ten languages to study: Chinese, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Arabic. The generated decks, stories, audio and conversation practice work in all ten, and each one also has a guided four-course track that takes a complete beginner from zero to conversation — from English, all nine of the others are covered. Conversation partners by text and voice, pronunciation scoring in Chinese, Korean and Russian, and a coach that can see what screen you are on.
