I was looking into this application when I stumbled upon the "terms of use", all of which were politically-charged garbage that makes me nauseous. I don't trust any developer who would post garbage like that.
Extremely politically charged garbage, doesn't belong to a screen dimming app
V2.4.7 Not any near to Russia, got "terrorist" message. After closing this the process still there & performance decreases, not any chance to close it. Kind of virus things. Thanks VirtualBox. This guy is done. Avoid these troubles.
Similar features to f.lux, but it supports screen dimming as well, which f.lux cannot do (and afaik will not do, they want to keep the feature set limited for better or worse). This was the reason for me to switch to Lightbulb. It is also overall less opinionated - it gives you more options to control how it should work (including exceptions for fullscreen apps, less frequent gamma updates, pause for a custom time period etc.). The only feature missing for me is to automatically switch windows to dark theme, have to use a separate app for that.
Ignore the 1* ratings, people are just upset that the developer is understandably unhappy about his country being invaded. Doesn't change the functionality at all.
if it wasnt for political tool id gave it 5 stars
Very great software. I couldn't stand the bugs in flu.x anymore so I looked up an alternative and this popped up. The minus star is because there is often a bug when the message for Ukraine won't go away, and the software need to be reset.
