What is Mac Address Lookup Tool?

MAC Address Lookup identifies the organization behind any MAC address or OUI prefix instantly—in your browser, with nothing sent to a server. Enter a complete address or just the leading hex digits; colons, hyphens, Cisco dots, spaces, or plain hex all work, and CLI output or switch tables can be pasted in for bulk lookups with a summary by vendor.

The tool covers the complete IEEE registry (MA-L, MA-M, MA-S, IAB, and CID blocks, matched with longest-prefix precedence), flags randomized and locally administered addresses instead of returning a misleading "unknown vendor," and recognizes virtual machine ranges from VMware, VirtualBox, Hyper-V, KVM, Docker, Xen, and more. Type a company name to list its prefixes—including former owners ("Tekelec" still finds the prefix that became Oracle)—or search by country and registration year. Every result includes block details, registration dates, and format conversions, and each lookup gets a shareable URL.

There are no ads, no cookie banners, and no tracking pixels around the results. All processing happens locally in your browser, so the addresses you look up—often from corporate networks—never leave your machine. The interface is available in 30+ languages, follows your system's dark mode preference, and keeps recent lookups in local history.
