I was searching for an alternative to the MacUpdate desktop subscription-crap-ware. I found this as alternative - good job alternativeto! quite new and quite useful, easy to use, intuitive user interface … does what it does, not more not less. 10€ is a reasonable price in contrast to 40€ yearly. Fast and friendly support included. The funny thing is that you cannot find this app on MacUpdate - guess why …
Well, the answer to your question is simple: they can't have on their website a better app that costs a fraction and does a better job.

Seamless, and rarely inaccurate. Makes keeping up with software updates so much easier. Very sorry to see it discontinued, and certainly hope it gets picked up.
MacUpdater saves me hours of time each month by automating the task of checking my apps for updates and then installing them for me instead of me having to manually do this app by app. I really do hope some company will purchase the code and technology and keep this wonderful product going.
For me this is the indispensible Mac app for keeping my applications up to date. I have too many to do this manually. PLEASE I hope someone respectable buys it and supports it by January

When I first purchased MacUpdater about a year ago, I honestly didn't expect it to become one of my most valuable utilities.
