Axonlotl added Minder as alternative to axonlotl.comVery uncluttered and straight to the point and easy to use. It currently has a few areas that could be improved, for instance the undo system doesn't work for me (Arch/CachyOS). I'm using Niri WM/Wayland and when saving, I can't use the file format selector since I can't scroll past the .minder format.
All in all, this is a keeper for simple mindmapping and I'm hoping that it will improve further.

All in all, this is a keeper for simple mindmapping and I'm hoping that it will improve further.
Quite basic program to draw mind maps. Import and Export functions for other mindmapping applications available but as the programm lacks some features - not everything gets transferred. (export is a separate menu item - not save as)
*** Tested and almost approved! *** DEFECTS: it closes by itself when I insert internet links or references within the map; does not have file attachments inside the PC. It does not have a mini-map for navigation. It does not have other types of branches, such as comment balloons, summary and org charts. *** ADVANTAGES: in QT, beautiful and free.
This one is wonderful. I used Freeplane, Mindomo, and Vym before, however, Minder combines simplicity and efficiency more than anyone mentioned.
Although it's free open-source, it has features that are absent or not found directly in Mindomo and Freeplane, such as node layouts and easity adding titles for connectors. It's still even much easier and lighter than Freeplane.
One of the most nice features I found is that, using the Property Sidebar, you can choose from 7 different node layouts. It has also 4 built-in themes which are very nice and eye-candy. And from the same sidebar, you can easily change font, font size, connector style.
I just cannot express how I've admired this software. Thanks for developers.
Minder is so simple but so powerful. You can create mind maps very fast, export in different formats... It helps to connect ideas and remember what you need easily.
