It was a wonderful experience, as it´s the most comprehensive solution tailored for open-pit and underground mining applications. A user-friendly solution and far better than general-purpose simulation software. Its full capabilities and wonderful features of simulation, optimization, and prediction are fully applied to mining operations.
MineTwin is well suited to studies where several parts of the mining operation interact and a simple spreadsheet calculation is not enough. We use it to compare fleet sizes, test changes to schedules and mine plans, investigate bottlenecks, assess equipment utilisation and understand how delays or equipment failures could affect production. It is also useful when comparing several scenarios and then rerunning the same studies after receiving updated Deswik or Vulcan mine plan files.
