Mirlo Social

Mirlo is a Dutch social app where every connection is mutual, built without infinite scroll, algorithms, or engagement hooks.

Post without performing. There are no counts, no reactions, no public validation loops. Just sharing, for its own sake.
Both sides have to agree before you're connected. And since every account is phone-verified, you know the people you connect with are real.
Tap to respond to any post and the conversation moves to a private DM. Real reactions happen in private — not in a comment section.

What is Mirlo Social?

Mirlo is a social app from the Netherlands designed to be used briefly and put down rather than to maximise time on the platform. It is built without the design patterns that keep people scrolling: no infinite feed, no algorithmic ranking, no likes, no public comments, and no advertising. The business model is subscription only at €4.99 per month or €34.99 per year, with a free trial, which removes the financial incentive to compete for attention.

Every connection is mutual: both people accept before they can see each other's posts or send messages. There are no follows, no one-way relationships, and no public profiles browseable by strangers. The feed is strictly chronological and only contains posts from direct connections. Posts have no public metrics. Direct messages are one-to-one between connected people only.

Mirlo is hosted in the European Union, complies with GDPR and the Digital Services Act, runs no third-party tracking, and does not sell user data. It was built by Dutch founder Mathijs Lemmers and launched on 1 June 2026 on the iOS App Store across 30 European countries.
