NetSight is a free, browser-based network toolbox for developers, sysadmins and security analysts. Instead of the usual single-purpose IP lookup page, it bundles twelve tools behind one search bar with no account & ads.
Enter any IP, hostname or URL and NetSight queries eight intelligence sources in parallel: geolocation (city, country, ASN, ISP), reverse DNS and FCrDNS, AbuseIPDB confidence and report count, Scamalytics fraud score, VirusTotal scanner verdicts, URLhaus malware listings, roughly 30 DNSBLs and Shodan (open ports, known CVEs). Every source renders into its own card as soon as it arrives, so the report stays usable even when one upstream is slow.
Two things set NetSight apart from other free IP tools:
Anycast awareness – most lookup sites will tell you Quad9 (9.9.9.9) sits in California. It does not; the operator is a Swiss foundation in Zurich and the geolocated country is merely the nearest POP. NetSight reports the operator HQ separately and flags the record with an anycast chip. The same handling applies to Cloudflare, OpenDNS, AdGuard and Yandex resolvers.
Own honeypot telemetry – NetSight operates a dedicated honeypot infrastructure (SSH, VNC, HTTP, Modbus, S7) that records unsolicited connection attempts. The resulting attacker database feeds directly into the reputation scoring, and a curated subset is published as a public blocklist on GitHub for use in firewalls and SIEMs.
Every IP route is server-side rendered, so /8.8.8.8 returns a full HTML report instead of a loading skeleton.
