Nginx Proxy Manager

It's extremely easy to use. The dev describes their motivation for making it as needing to have server setup "so easy that a monkey could do it" and I think that's accurate. I haven't been able to test it with port forwarding set up yet due to my situation, so I'll edit this review when I can.

Pros:

• Extremely easy to use.
• Has a multitude of options for keeping your server secure.
• Configurable access lists which include both by-IP access and logins. Keep your private home server private while being able to access it remotely!
• UI is easy to understand and pleasant to look at.
• Very easy to set up. I recommend using docker compose instead of regular docker; docker compose is much easier to use IMO.

Cons:

• If something goes wrong, it's hard to diagnose the problem.
• Could use more detailed documentation. The UI tends to be fairly self-explanatory, but more detailed explanations of certain features and options would be greatly appreciated.
• You need some familiarity with server concepts to get the most out of it. People who are completely new to server administration may find themselves confused by all this talk of SSL certs and HTTP vs. HTTPS.

Ultimately, a promising project that has the ambitious goal of making secure, efficient server management easy for almost everyone. If the dev would just do something about the 1.2k open issues on the github, it'd be a 5 star rating for sure haha.

The simple web interface makes it easy to configure a reverse proxy, redirect or stream. Even advanced options are added quickly. It uses nginx, which is great!
