What is Outboard-EQ?
Outboard-EQ is an 8-band parametric equalizer for mixing and mastering on Windows, available as VST3 and CLAP. Each of the eight bands offers 18 filter types, slopes from 6 to 96 dB/oct, and an independent dynamic EQ with four detector modes (Peak, RMS, Adaptive, Spectral) plus an optional external sidechain. Any band can switch to a spectral mode that uses a shared STFT engine (4096-point FFT) for per-bin resonance suppression.
It also includes five phase modes (minimum, natural, linear, hybrid, per-band), per-band hardware-style character stages (op-amp, tape, Pultec-style low-end, density, transient designer, split tonal/transient), EQ matching against built-in targets, three spectrum analyzers, true-peak and integrated LUFS metering with streaming targets, and native multichannel support up to Dolby Atmos 9.1.6. Ships with 133 factory presets. A macOS build (VST3/AU/CLAP) is in preparation.
