OVNI Audio makes free, open-source plug-ins in three families: spatial effects that move sound and open up space, SUPERNOVA — a visual synth that turns sound into image — and TELESCOPE, an analyser that measures a mix and writes down what it found.
TELESCOPE is an audio analyser plug-in with thirteen lenses over one analysis engine: loudness to ITU-R BS.1770 with LRA and true peak, dynamics, spectrum, spectrogram and waterfall, constant-Q with a key estimate shown with its confidence, stereo scope and per-band correlation, energy by pan direction (not localisation), and tonal balance against a reference track.
The thirteenth lens, VERDICT, runs 21 deterministic rules over a per-second history and writes each finding with the number that produced it and the id of the rule that fired — no model, no network, no telemetry. The same signal gives the same report, word for word. Measurement, not taste: no findings is not the same as finished.
It never touches the audio: 0 samples of latency, bit-exact pass-through. VST3 and AU for macOS 11 or later, universal, in one installer signed and notarized by Apple; VST3 on Windows 10+ as an unsigned ZIP. Released under the GNU AGPLv3: the code is free forever and anyone can build it, and the installers for ORBIT, SUPERNOVA and TELESCOPE are free too, with no deadline. New products released later may be paid.
