What is Ownstock?

Ownstock is a replacement for Shopify's Stocky, which was shut down on August 31, 2026. It is designed for merchants who specifically relied on Stocky for reorder points, purchase order tracking, and sales-velocity forecasting.

Ownstock is a Google Sheets template with a Shopify sync script (GraphQL Admin API, OAuth), rather than a hosted app. It allows for reorder points per SKU, PO tracking per supplier, and forecasting based on actual sales history. It does not include an AI demand-planning layer.

Unlike most Stocky replacements, which are monthly SaaS subscriptions ranging from $20 to $120, Ownstock is a one-time payment. This means you own the spreadsheet outright, with every formula visible and exportable. It continues to work without the need for an ongoing account or hosted service.

Ownstock is specifically scoped to purchase order and reorder logic. It does not function as a full Warehouse Management System, so it does not include bin locations, pick routing, or GL reconciliation.
