It's one of few programs that I'm really glad that I bought. Tried all of open source alternatives but Photostage is way better: advanced features: such as zooming, panning etc are very easy to add, project file sizes are minimal and (what was most important for me) it is fast. There are many things that I miss but it's still best software for me to make custom slideshow from holiday pictures/videos;)
The features made it really quick and easy to make a nice slideshow - but the buggy UI made any adjustments irritating, and sometimes impossible. Scroll bars jumping halfway through the slideshow every time I select a slide, edits that end up changing a bunch of unrelated settings that then cannot be changed back, an undo feature that sometimes undid too much and other times too little... it made little mistakes with the output inevitable. And then, when I returned to fix the mistakes, I was no longer able to export the fixed copy because of the purchase nag screen. They need to fix the usability issues before they can demand money, or it feels like extortion.
