What is Rate.fm?

Rate.fm (formerly Wavelength) is a music diary for iPhone and the web, built like Letterboxd but for music. Rate albums and songs on a 0 to 10 scale, write full reviews or quick reactions, make ranked lists, and follow friends to see what they are listening to and how they scored it.

Every record shows critic scores from 19 publications next to yours, including Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NME, AllMusic, The Guardian, Album of the Year and Metacritic, with about 71,000 critic reviews in the catalog. Connect Apple Music, Spotify or Last.fm and your listening history fills in on its own, so you can build a taste profile and weekly recaps without logging anything by hand. You can rate the song that is playing straight from the iPhone Lock Screen, tap to play any record you are reading about, and import an existing Musicboard history in one tap.
