Registry Lookup is a free search engine for global company registry data. It indexes 521 million legal entities from 309 jurisdictions in 244 countries, searchable from one place with no account and no per-search credits.
Company registry data is public, but it is scattered. Every country runs its own register, with its own identifiers, name formats, and definition of what "active" means, so finding the entity behind a business name means knowing which register to check and how to read it. Registry Lookup normalizes all of it into a single query model.
SEARCH
Legal names (current, previous, and alternative), local registration numbers, LEI codes, VAT and tax identifiers, and registered addresses. Search handles punctuation, transliteration, and legal-form abbreviations, so you do not have to match a register's exact formatting. Filter by jurisdiction, country, city, status, and incorporation date when one name appears in dozens of registers.
ENTITY PROFILES
Registered legal name, status, legal form, incorporation date, registry number, registered address, previous names, and official identifiers such as LEI, VAT, and national tax numbers, where the source register publishes them. Every record links back to its jurisdiction, and addresses are grouped so you can see other entities registered at the same location. Permanent URLs run from country to register to profile, so links keep resolving as records update.
MCP SERVER AND AI CONNECTORS
Registry Lookup ships an MCP server, so an assistant queries the register itself instead of guessing. It is listed in Claude's connector directory and works with Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any other MCP client. An agent can search entities, pull a registry profile, resolve a company by jurisdiction and registry number, and list jurisdictions in natural language. Same dataset and free allowance as the API, so an agent can confirm a counterparty exists mid-task without wiring up a client library.
FREE API
5,000 calls per month, no credit card. REST endpoints for search, entity lookup by ID or registry number, as-you-type autocomplete, and jurisdiction listing. JSON responses, header-based authentication, documented rate limits.
WHO USES IT
Compliance and KYB teams identifying counterparties. Procurement teams verifying vendors. Journalists and OSINT researchers tracing corporate structures. Developers and AI agents building entity resolution, deduplication, or enrichment pipelines.
Registry Lookup is a research and discovery layer, not a system of record. For certificates, filings, or legally conclusive evidence, verify at the official register. Every profile links you there.
Web search is free with no account. The API and MCP server are free at 5,000 calls per month with a work email. Larger volumes and enriched company intelligence (firmographics, ownership, ESG, and supply-chain signals) are available through Veridion, whose global company database powers Registry Lookup.
