What is Reverie - Ambient Soundscape Generator?
Reverie is a standalone desktop app that turns any audio file, a song, a vocal take, a field recording, a synth stem, into long-form ambient soundscapes. Drop a file, pick one of 20 factory presets, set a duration, and generate. Every render is unique, and the same seed reproduces the exact same result on any machine.
Under the hood, Reverie runs 37 native DSP modules: extreme time-stretching (Dreamtime, its extended take on the Paulstretch algorithm), spectral freeze, shimmer reverb, granular processing, spectral cross-synthesis, formant filtering, resonators, and more. Pro mode unlocks a Chain Builder to combine, reorder and tweak any module, then save the result as your own custom preset.
Key features:
37 native DSP modules (Dreamtime / Paulstretch, spectral, shimmer, granular, formant, resonator) 20 curated factory presets, plus a Pro Chain Builder for custom signatures Renders up to 30 minutes, non-looping and non-repeating Export to WAV, FLAC, OGG and AIFF in 16 or 24-bit, source sample rate preserved Universal Seed for deterministic, reproducible renders shareable across machines
A good fit if you are looking for a Paulstretch GUI, a PaulXStretch alternative, or a dedicated ambient and drone generator for music production, game audio, content creation and sound design.
