What is RideTool?

RideTool is a web-based cycling fitness tracker. It calculates a single fitness number from each ride using established training-load models (Coggan/Banister), working from either power or heart rate data so rides on any bike or terrain are scored in one common currency.

Rides sync automatically from Strava, Garmin, and Wahoo, or can be imported as FIT files. Original FIT files are stored unmodified and remain downloadable. The app shows fitness, freshness, and per-ride effort and intensity in plain language, along with a threshold (FTP) estimate, power-to-weight, calendar and streak views, ride detail pages with route maps, and weight tracking. It also offers a Claude (MCP) interface for querying ride data conversationally.

There are no social features, leaderboards, or coaching plans. It is aimed at riders who want a simple read on their fitness rather than a full analytics dashboard.
