This app is really sensational, it works perfectly on my projector with Google TV, ad-free, I feel free!

A must have if you want to watch Youtube on TV …since the official app just doesn't work for years – it's too slow, doesn't let me speed up videos ("your device is incompatible" say what again??).

It's a good app. I've been using it for two years on my Android TV/Google TV. It works without any problems, and you don't need to do any complicated patching like on ReVanced or root your device. Just install the APK and disable the standard version of YouTube if you want. SmartTube has no ads and lets you skip sponsored segments in videos. Hundreds of settings for the player, subtitles, quality, and interface. The beta version is updated every day. The only downside is that the design is a little outdated.

Amazing Android TV App, it even has better performance than the original YouTube App.

Only thing I'd like is to have the option to turn ads on on selected videos or channels, you know, sometimes supporting some creators through ads are a good thing, at least by having the option to do so.
