Can be used as a virtual camera, for example when your webcam cannot be flipped horizontally or vertically.
Bad programs, check which windows you are running , and push you to install Windows 10 if you have a previous version... (There are no reasons why to do so, all programs running under windows 10 can run under 7, 8 and 8.1 with the right framework, update...)
The one thing I use this for is to send my webcam video to both OBS and Discord at once, because for some reason they can't both get the EOS Webcam feed. It accomplishes this, but I have some complaints:
First, its saved scenes get messed up sometimes, and I have to recreate them. When I plug in the basic webcam I have for when I don't feel like setting up the M50, my EOS Webcam sources in SplitCam switch to that, and vice versa. This… is just a baffling design choice. When I set what source I want to add to a scene, I want that source specifically because they require different settings.
Second, I've noticed it using a lot of CPU while streaming, which seems to have led to one of my streams getting laggy and may have contributed to VB-Audio Matrix crashing. Granted, I have a lot of applications running when I stream, but closing SplitCam dropped my CPU usage from 100% to around 60%.
I recommend it, very useful and free streaming software with many features !

Nice program. They added new webcam effects on their page and more functions in SplitCam new version.
