What is StockChat?

StockChat is a private group chat for iPhone built for talking about stocks with people you actually know.

Type a ticker with a dollar sign, like $NVDA or $BTC-USD, and a live card appears inline in the thread with the price, the day change and a chart. No bot, no slash command, no switching apps.

It also keeps score. Every ticker anyone mentions is logged at that moment's price, then ranked by how much it has gained since, with the date and the name of whoever called it first. Ordinary group chats forget what was said; this one keeps the record on its own.

Also included: $100,000 in simulated paper trading with real market prices and real order mechanics, showing your return next to the S&P 500 over the same period. Shared watchlists. A markets view with indexes, sector performance and news. Short lessons for people new to investing. And Max, an AI assistant you can ask about any ticker from inside the thread or privately.

There is no public feed, no followers and nothing to discover. Group threads are invite-only, so the only people in a conversation are the ones invited to it.

StockChat is a free open beta delivered through Apple TestFlight. Anyone can install it, no invite or approval needed. An App Store release is planned.
