Tangent

Tangent is a cross-media recommendation engine. Goodreads tracks what you read and Letterboxd what you watched; Tangent connects all four media (books, films, TV series and podcasts) so something you loved in one medium leads you to the next great thing in another. Underneath is a canonical-works graph that links a work to its versions across media (a novel to its film, series and audio adaptations) and a shared taste map of around 30,000 titles, each classified into a multi-level genre taxonomy and enriched with themes such as "Southern Gothic" or "unreliable narrator". Recommendations come from that real catalog and graph, so nothing is invented.
