forget any old comments about Torque3D, start using right now, since a few years ago, the community take it in charge this game engine.
Has to be one of the worst game engines I've ever used, and I've been doing this since 1997. T2D/TGB is OK, but T3D/TGE(A) all suck. The tools are buggy (especially on Windows 7) and I can almost guarantee you the tools will crash within the first 30 minutes of use... maybe an hour if you're lucky. Look elsewhere... I suggest Unity3D or UDK.
