TradeTuning is a Chrome extension that turns TradingView's Strategy Tester into a full backtesting optimization workbench. Instead of manually tweaking strategy inputs and rerunning backtests one at a time, TradeTuning cycles through your parameter combinations automatically, capturing a complete performance snapshot after every run.
Each result is logged into a sortable, filterable results table covering the core backtest metrics — Total P&L, Win Rate, Profit Factor, Max Drawdown, Sharpe Ratio, Sortino Ratio, Annualized Return, Average Profit/Loss per trade, and more — alongside an equity curve thumbnail you can expand for a quick visual check.
Beyond the standard numbers, every result includes a "Deep Analysis" line of advanced risk metrics rarely found in a simple backtest report: Expectancy, Reward:Risk Ratio, Calmar Ratio, Recovery Factor, RoMaD, a Kelly-Criterion-based suggested position size, a drawdown-recovery breakeven calculation, and a Risk of Ruin estimate — giving you a genuine risk-management read on a strategy, not just a profit number.
Built-in tools help you cut through large optimization runs: multi-condition filters (minimum trades, win rate, profit factor, drawdown caps, and more), custom column layouts, pinning your best candidates, and a parameter-sensitivity analysis to see which inputs actually move the needle. When you're done, export your full results — including the equity charts — as a self-contained, interactive HTML report you can reopen, re-sort, or re-import later, or share with others.
TradeTuning works across TradingView's regular and Deep Backtesting modes, and supports TradingView's international/localized subdomains.
