What is Ukelele?

Ukelele is a Unicode Keyboard Layout Editor for macOS, designed to simplify the editing of XML-based keyboard layouts. It supports macOS versions 10.2 and onwards and offers a graphical interface where users can drag and drop characters onto keys. Ukelele also allows users to assign multiple-character strings and create "dead keys" that modify subsequent keystrokes. It integrates with Keyboard Juggler for managing keyboard layouts on macOS 10.10 and later. Essentially, Ukelele is a tool for customizing keyboards.
