UL Procyon

Procyon is a benchmark suite by UL, designed for industry professionals, businesses, and government entities. It provides a consistent experience with a common design and feature set. Users can choose specific benchmarks according to their needs. The suite is constantly updated with new tests, each tailored for a specific use case and incorporating real applications when possible. It is developed in partnership with industry experts to ensure accuracy and relevance.

The suite includes the AI Image Generation and AI Text Generation benchmarks to measure the performance of on-device AI accelerators. The One-Hour Battery Consumption Benchmark compares the impact of software and system settings on PC or Mac battery consumption. The AI Computer Vision Benchmark assesses the performance of AI inference engines on Windows hardware. The Office Productivity Benchmark measures PC and Mac performance using Microsoft Office apps.

Other benchmarks include the Battery Life Benchmark for battery life analysis, the Video Editing Benchmark for Windows PC video-editing performance, the AI Inference Benchmark for Android for Android smartphone AI inference performance, and the Photo Editing Benchmark for Windows PC and Mac photo-editing performance.
