Based on Fedora, which is good. Sadly Ultramarine devs not always know what they are doing.

Great distro, works out of the box on a AMD CPU laptop and with a NVIDA PC only required some minor changes to boot flags which changing those and diagnosing the issues was made much easier with the help of the staff & community in the discord (Got a reply in less than 2 minutes!) who guided me through how to fix the issue and it now works flawlessly! It uses slightly more RAM than vanilla KDE Feodra but overall runs very smoothly with no interuption. My new distro of choice for daily driving and would reccomend to anyone new to Linux or looking for a quicker setup on a Fedora based distro!

What is Ultramarine Linux?

Designed to be 100% bug-for-bug compatible with Fedora, Ultramarine offers the latest and greatest in open-source software, yet maintaining rock-solid stability. Making sure things don't break is our top priority.

Ultramarine provides developer-friendly (and friendly for the average user) tools to make sure you can get the most out of your system. We're making it as easy and accessible as possible for everyone to create and package their software for Ultramarine (and in extension, Fedora!).

Ultramarine applies pragmatic tweaks and settings to make sure your out-of-the-box experience is as smooth as it can be. We've tried to make sure that you'll be able to get started as quickly as possible.

Ultramarine Linux is meant to be a spiritual successor to Korora Linux, with the goal of making an operating system that “just works”. We are making the base Fedora experience a little more pleasant with tweaks, which improves the experience for new and advanced users equally. While most tweaks could be achieved by an install script, such a script defeats the idea of “it just works” out of the box as the user has to apply things manually. Other planned features like a custom installer with better user experience are not possible without a separate ISO.
