Desde que la utilizo, no puedo vivir sin ella. Cualquier imagen que me guste y quiera usar como wallpaper, la puedo escalar y quedara genial. Eso si, si posees una grafica nvida, la aprovechara mejor.
The program is amazing really easy to use and most images can be upscaled in 1 to 5 min. One top 10 favorite programs. Really the only negative is to use other custom models you have to use Chainner to convert them to use with Upscayl Chainner suck big time it does not covert the models correctly like 65% of the time they do not work with Upscayl. There needs to be a stand alone program to covert images model that works with Upscayl. This is just a minor complaint not with the program itself the program use Esgram model and there is no decent Esgram that uspcale low quality smaller images, and uspcale them 4x 5x 6x or 8x and give good results.
Just another mediocre Electron (yeah, the notorious Electron) app. Upscayl is all about flaws: 1) Bloated - it occupies 600MB in Windows system. 2) It has freezed my Windows 10 during tests - I got to reboot. 3) No result, it just gave me decoding errors. Any sane alternative? Brilliant freeware LazPaint occupies 100 times less space and contains "Image - Smart Zoom X3" option, which is great for upscale. As for Electron/Upscayl "coders", they got to be wiped from the Earth surface or get real programming skills. Nuff said!
This is a simple, easy to use AI image upscaler that works very well. I would definitely recommend it as an alternative to proprietary and bloated software like Topaz.
