What is Vanadium?
Vanadium is a privacy and security hardened variant of Chromium providing the WebView (used by other apps to render web content) and standard browser for GrapheneOS. It depends on hardening and compatibility fixes in GrapheneOS rather than reinventing the wheel inside Vanadium. For example, GrapheneOS already provides a hardened malloc implementation so there's no need for Vanadium to replace it. Similarly, it can deploy security features causing breakage on other operating systems due to the ability to fix compatibility problems in the OS.

Comments and Reviews
Good web browser that's shipped by default with GrapheneOS. It's a privacy-focused version of Chromium, so it's lightweight, fast, and regularly updated.
Just a better default Chrome app. It's a also seriously well maintained and hardened compared to even the default chrome despite G merits.
Vanadium is a very secure Webview and Browser, focused on Security. It is a hardened Version of Chromium and also provides the WebView used by apps for displaying web content. Vanadium "just works" for most sites, so while it is currently not the most privacy focused, it is a good addition to Ironfox. It can be updated seperately via the Appstore. Use Cromite on other Androids as Vanadium might cause bugs that are not fixed outside of GrapheneOS.
