Vibe Transcribe

Works great on windows 11. I found out that pause button suites perfect to start the record.

This is a fantastic offline transcription tool. Runs perfectly and highly recommended for privacy.

It is listed as international origin, but it is probably Israeli. The names of the three publishers for the app are: Kiryat Arba, Yaakov Kolani, Yaakov Kolan and their Discord server has an only Hebrew channel.

Not saying it's suspicious since I didn't check the code, but this should be listed and corrected for everyone to know before.

I couldn't get it to work. Transcriptions end with this: failed to send load_model request to sona after 3 attempts

works as it should. On MacOs a nice free alternative, I have no reservations

Would have been an enthusiastic five star review after Vibe accurately transcribed a common English name from a New Zealand accent.

Hilariously, tho, when the same interview source spelled out the same name, Vibe ignored its own accuracy and decided that Len would become Lynn, and Salmon would become, um, a word that sounds a lot like seamen.

So yeah, kiwi accents can be difficult to follow for AI (and humans), and yes, sure mine may be a minority experience.

But two stars off to indicate - use with caution - especially for those outside AI accent norms.
