What is WattMate?

WattMate shows where your Mac's battery actually goes. Not Activity Monitor's unitless "Energy Impact", but real watts per app, live, with helpers grouped under the app they belong to. Requires macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon.

Its signature is the receipt: WattMate names what quitting an app is worth in minutes, then re-measures the Mac two minutes after you quit and prints what actually changed. When the effect can't be isolated honestly, it says so instead of taking credit.

It also explains your nights: the macOS power log knows which service woke the Mac while the lid was closed and for how long. WattMate reads it and names names. Plus history (today against yesterday), battery health for free, and honest ranges instead of fake precision.

Price: $9.99 a year or $29 once, plus a 10-day trial that needs no card. The free layer keeps the app list, their watts, battery health, the last session and the last night forever.

Everything is measured and computed on your Mac. Nothing you measure is uploaded. Native Swift, notarized by Apple, negligible self-cost (measured).
