Wellspoken is an AI speech coach for iPhone, Android, Mac and the web that measures how clearly you speak and gives you short daily practice to improve it. It covers public speaking, presentations, job interviews and everyday conversations at work.
You record yourself speaking, either in a practice drill or in a real meeting, and Wellspoken analyzes the recording and returns a score. That score is the Wellspoken Index, a 1000-point measure built from six dimensions that are graded separately: structure, conciseness, confidence, pronunciation, filler rate and pace. Because each dimension carries its own score, the result points at one specific habit to work on, such as trailing off at the end of a sentence or speeding up when you get nervous.
One of those six dimensions is filler rate. Wellspoken counts how often filler words such as um, uh and like appear in what you just said, so the habit of saying um becomes a number that moves every time you practice.
Echo is Wellspoken's guided practice partner. You speak with Echo out loud to run mock job interviews and rehearse conversations, and each session is scored on the same Index.
Wellspoken also trains the words themselves. The curriculum covers over 600 vocabulary words and 97 professional phrases for people who want more precise language to reach for while they are talking. Daily drills take about five minutes and give feedback right away.
The same scoring runs on real meetings. Wellspoken records a meeting, returns automatic notes and action items, and scores how you spoke during it, so one recording covers both what was decided and how you came across.
