What is Whyp?

Whyp is audio hosting built around one private link.

Drag in a file — MP3 up to 320kbps, or lossless FLAC on Pro — and you get a link to send to a client, a bandmate, a label or a class. Everything is unlisted by default: you decide who can listen, comment and download, and whether search engines see anything at all. Listeners need no account and no app; the page opens in any browser.

Feedback comes back as comments pinned to the exact second on the waveform, and you get an email when one lands. When there's a new take, replace the audio on the same track: the link keeps working and the take you replaced is kept as a named version (3 most recent on Free, all of them on Pro). Nobody has to hunt for mix-v4-FINAL-2.

The player embeds on your own site in your colours, and a pasted Whyp link turns into a working player in Notion, Medium, Patreon, Canva and Confluence — and in WordPress, with our free plugin. Plays, playback time, downloads and listener location analytics are in your dashboard on every plan, free included.

Also: collections for series and albums, optional expiry dates on tracks, bulk and FTP upload, upload requests (send a link, get audio back without the other person signing up), zip downloads of a whole collection, iOS and Android apps, and a growing number of interface languages.

Free covers 10 tracks at up to 8 minutes each. Pro is $10/month, $80/year or $249 once, and lifts that to unlimited tracks at up to 5 hours, lossless streaming, unlimited versions, unbranded players and bulk/FTP upload.

No feed, no algorithm, no discovery search, no ads — and Whyp doesn't train AI on your audio.
