Windward Core - Document Generation Component

We're using Windward Restful Engine, it's running on IIS server, very easy for setting up and maintenance. The Java/.Net Engines are more flexible and can be embedded in your project, but you have to build a wrapper and do the maintenance by yourself.

We use Windward Studios mainly for record printing and report generation, it requires multimedia support and some complex calculation and logic, but all the requirement seems so easy for Windward Studio, and you'll find it is more powerful than you could imagine.

But the most valuable part of Windward Studios is not the products, but the service! Their supporting team is so effective, they always resolve our problems rapidly and professionally, they are very kind and patient to answer our questions, we've collaborated with them for about 1 year, and are really satisfied with the service!

Hey! Everyone knows Microsoft office stuffs like Word and Excel. And there is soultion how to make a Bussines inteligence by firm Windward and their soft-plugin AutoTag.

And it's working just well. If you need to be oriented, you can just find tutorials, where you find out how it works. For bussines purpose, there is java dlls, which you can just add to yours project. After that you can develop reports and analyzes over AutoTag in Word and Excel.

So there is no easier way than using technology supported by common Microsoft office tools, which how i mentioned knows like everyone!

I use the Windward Studios Auto Tag software to personalizing documents. This is a very useful plugin for word, excel ...etc because you can develop a template which one can return multiple results depending on the input (f.e. xml). You can test your work on your computer with this client and can generate lots of different output format (pdf, docx, rtf...) before you update to your company's environment.

I create Windward templates for a large elevator company. These templates are for complicated specification and proposal documents that our sales reps use for selling elevators. The end result of these Windward templates are documents that perfectly fit the concept of "putting your right foot forward." We used another process for doing this, previous to Windward that was absolutely terrible and support was practically non-existent. The process developed by the Windward team does have a learning curve but it's not too bad, especially considering how much it does.

While learning the ins-and-outs of Windward, I did get stumped a couple of (seven or eight- our documentes are pretty complicated!) times, but the Windward support folks were quick to answer my questions, and happily offered alternative solutions to what I was trying to do. They were even able to instruct me in creating a table where elevator floors are represented "right-side-up," with the first floor being at the bottom of the table and the highest floor, being at the top. This reverse sequence of rows is something our previous software company said was impossible.

We have two areas where Windward generated documents can be accessed: one that is only accessible by people in our company (sales force) and one from our public facing website where anybody can generate an elevator specification that is consistently accurate and formatted in a professional way.

I currently use it exclusively for creating Microsoft Word documents, but I've got some ideas about using Windward for some of my training PowerPoints.

If I had to come up with something to complain about, it would be the fact that the Windward process is a little limiting, if you're used to coding. However, this is because of the nature of Office field codes from within which Windward is forced to work. Regardless, Windward offers plenty of funtionality that can satisfy some pretty convoluted situations.

Windward makes generating complex documents with interesting layouts incredibly easy. I love how well it integrates with office and the document server is fast and reliable.

Windward Studios provides an amazing document generation software tool. Loads of time has been saved, being able to quickly design a template in Microsoft Office (after a bit of a learning curve) and generate a report from input data in the format currently needed. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. Their customer support is also very responsive and helpful.

This Software has helped me a lot, it solves almost my every problem. It has awesome Visually Stunning Designs and Smart Document Logic and save's most of my time.

This software is worth purchasing, it save's a lot of time, and everything is easy to manage and we can easily retrieve our saved data.

It's User interface isn't complicated at all, it's easy to use, with a bunch of tools to help optimist your documents or reports.

At last I would definitely recommend this software.
