Good fine-grained subscription model with prorated upgrades. Have been paying customer for over two years and always felt like I get more value out of the tool than I pay monthly.

Community on Discord is extremely helpful and friendly. Updates are frequent and easy to follow.

I’ve used WA since February 2018 for my hobby (worldbuilding and writing). It has changed a lot over the years since it’s still in beta and it’s something that happens when the developer listens to their community.

I’ve been a paying customer since around March 2018 and during that time it has changed payment platform once. From Patreon to FastSpring. I have to say that I preferred Patreon since it was more transparent but I suppose that FastSpring is more professional. I have a custom fee since I am also paying for my sibling’s subscription. It’s been working fine. 🙂

The site has a steep learning curve for some users but I’ve always found it intuitive. I enjoy how the templates are split up and I’m looking forward to the new timeline feature.

There are several ways to use customer service. Back in the day I just chatted with the developer on the site. Now when the site has boomed and the developer is super busy it is easiest to get help on the discord from other community members (like me! 😄 ) or when it comes to payment issues it is easiest to mail them and ask their PA.

I've been a user of World Anvil since launch. It's an outstanding community and a top notch product! It's product road map is very community-driven and the developers are always open to feedback, fixes, and directly interacting with users

This was a godsend for me trying to organize my game and write my books. Having everything together is the best, and my players love it too when I show them my maps and NPCs. When I publish my novel ill try out the publication features too. Ive got the Master sub and want to upgrade when they run another big sale. They run a lot of competitions too which is fun.

In the time writing this World Anvil is by far the most reliable and robust worldbuilding tool out here, Yes the design is not perfect but at least it's not hiding behind sexy graphics. It's a big tool that will give you everything you wanted and more. Yes it can be a bit intimidating to begin with but if you give it some time, it iwll inspire you and help you create a beautiful world that you will be proud to have created.

Also, their community is probably one of the most friendly and inclusive places out there.

A waste of time and money. I purchased the membership to use all the features. Extremely frustrating to use. In essence, it's a complicated word processor with the capabilities of an old-school myspace page. It's archaic in design, execution, and productivity. To make things worse, the customer service was subpar. You've been warned.
