    KDE neon is an alternative to Xubuntu if: 1) you want to stay with Ubuntu 'under the hood'; 2) want the KDE Plasma 5 desktop (and have a relatively recent/powerful machine that can run it; 3) it's important to you that the Plasma desktop is updated absolutely as soon as any new developments are out.
