Live CD (or ISO burned to flash drive) handles wifi connections just fine. Why, then does it fail to connect after an install and reboot? It can't even find the appropriate software/driver to enable wifi. (This was on an Intel Mac.) After a few hours of struggling with this, I just wiped it clean. BTW: It couldn't even launch parted. Total waste of time.
When I did a full switch to Linux full-time back in 2020, I landed with elementary OS and was happy with my choice to go with it.
The desktop environment the developers made, called Pantheon, is very interested compared to other alternatives.
This is one of the Linux distributions I still recommend today, even after my switch to Fedora a year later in 2021.
Beautiful and simple with cloud capability. I would prefer the text editor to be with the central dashboard.. almost gave up on Elementary thinking that demo mode had no text editor, but the editor called Code was eventually found under the upper left link to Apps. The editor was somewhat awkward to use. Saved a file to desktop with the Code program, and nothing showed there, but I was able to attach it to email and open it with notepad, so I'm keeping Elementary.
I don`t like elementary OS, because it has a lot of bugs, I could not even install it!
If I would go back to GNU/Linux as my desktop operating system, then I would use elementary OS.
The most forward thinking distro.
