1BitDragon is an easy-to-use music composition software designed to help game developers and non-musicians create original music quickly.

It uses a simple pattern-based workflow where melodies, chords, bass lines and rhythms can be created visually, without requiring music theory knowledge. It includes hundreds of instruments and drum sounds, ready-made accompaniments and arpeggiators, multiple scales, and tools for quickly building complete tracks.

Version 5 expands the software with up to 12 instrument tracks, 15 effects with automation, the Dragon Synth synthesizer, custom WAV sample import, 3/4 and 4/4 time signatures, per-track pan and reverb, and improved editing tools.

Projects can be exported to WAV, FLAC and MP3, with individual track export also available for further mixing or use in game engines.

1BitDragon is particularly suited to indie game developers, game jams and anyone looking for a fast and accessible way to create their own music.
