What is AFKSecurity?

AFKSecurity is a Windows security companion designed to sit alongside your antivirus/Defender and add an additional layer focused on suspicious behavior and unknown threats. It uses local AI + heuristics to score behavior in real time (no cloud scanning required), plus ransomware-aware signals (including canary-style detection) to catch early encryption activity and react quickly.

Power users and IT-minded users can extend and tune detection using YARA rules and threat lists / blocklists. AFKSecurity also includes quarantine and control tools to isolate threats safely, review detection history, and fine-tune exclusions.

Privacy-wise, AFKSecurity is local-first and ships with no telemetry by default. An offline/air-gapped enterprise package is available on request.

Important: AFKSecurity complements antivirus/Defender; it does not claim to replace a full antivirus suite.
