Aperito

Aperito is a somewhat scriptable duplicate file manager. It can simply used to cleanup a directory of duplicate files but it also allows you to perform much more complex deduplication. For example, if you want to delete all files under Dir3 that also exist under Dir1 or Dir2 but not touch any files under Dir1 and Dir2 nor deduplicate any files which show up multiple times within Dir3. Complex scenarios can be handled by adding the appropriate "commands" as arguments to it. It can also be used to deduplicate files based on saved memory it has of files that exist on some other, not mounted drive that you perhaps keep outside of your house in storage. Aperito will try to parallelize operations if it thinks it's possible to do so and it will never delete any duplicate files. Instead of deleting it will create a new directory and move them there keeping the directory structure so afterwards you can check and either delete the new directory or merge it with the original to revert the deduplication.
