Real open source and very capable. It was the only AI that could understand the ISA of my custom CPU and produce actual Assembly programs that I could use to beta-test my implementation. Unfortunately it cannot handle long discussions or large PDF uploads, at least where I can access it (either at its own site or at 3rd party front-ends)

Intelligent and free along with unlimited usage. Gives ChatGPT a run for its money and supports all file types. It's best use case , in my opinion , is chatting with small documents. But it still needs a lot catch-up in terms of features , agentic capabilities , inference speeds , image generation capabilities. A canvas mode with the ability to generate long documents at once would be a Claude-like improvement.

Another Chinese company whose success ENTIRELY depended on stealing IP from OpenAI. Yes they had a little breakthrough and hacked some things together to make it cheap. And in 2026 got caught stealing from Anthropic too. They're thieves, just like Huawei, Qualcom, and .... China in general.
Who cares? Stealing from a thief isn't stealing, and OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, Google, and the rest are a bunch of thieves who rob programmers, journalists, and artists of their intellectual property, only to push a poorly functioning scam that tracks all users and continues to rob them.
