I several times lost all my data which backup to this service and several times I lost a lot of nervous and got tons of problems after trusting to this service. Absolutely trash for me and in my opinion. But who knows, maybe someone likes it.
The employees can look at your own files at any time, they say they use encrypption but they lie, no 2FA either . If you use too much of your storage you paid , they will inevitably send you an email saying you have copyright material in your account and that your account will be deleted within 2 weeks.
I paid for 5 years and all my files have been wiped out, AVOID THESE CLOWNS!
Degoo is a complete scam, your files are not safe.
They have sent emails to many people that they have scanned files and find some content infringing copyright. A few files were listed. They threatened to terminate my account if the were files not removed (these files did not even exist on my computer).
Its total waste of time, money and your memories. DO NOT TRUST THESE CLOWNS. Your personal data is not secure and may be shared with other companies. They are scanning your files breaching privacy. Remove this crappy fraud cloud storage degoo.
The article is not correct / up-to-date. Degoo explicitely says "End-to-end encryption - Your files are uploaded with transport layer security and are encrypted with AES-256", in all their plans, event the free one.
I don't exactly in what point it's outdated. But something is correct, Degoo is not too secure related to the free plans. Despite it is has E2EE, according to its own website, on the free 100 GB plan there is no zero knowledge encryption, i.e. the user don't keep its private keys. With paid plans you'll do.
Use at your own risk. My older backuped files are no longer available to restore.
This company is ripoff. I bought 2TB plan but upload/download speed is 10-100Kbs !!! (on Windows PC). I would probably need 100 years to fill those 2TB and than to download. At the beginning speed was cca 5Mbs but for last 14 day is like before mentioned. Even at 5Mbs you need 1-2 month to fill up 2TB. Maybe is good as free service but I not recommend this Degoo for any even half serious backup. Also it happened many times that my backup files just vanished from their servers. I sent to Degoo emails about this problem few times and no respond. So until they give at list 10Mbs for 2TB paid plan I don't recommend this to anybody.
uploading files takes so many times that i canceled it because i thought it may be a thief soft to stole whole my PC files
