The software allows users to set daily goals and input information as cards, with a suggested study time of ten minutes per day. Users can create cards individually or in bulk, and include photos to enhance memory. Dumka uses active recall, where users try to remember the information before checking the answer. Users' responses are graded by swiping right for correct answers and left for incorrect ones, helping Dumka identify and focus on challenging areas.

Based on user performance, Dumka's spaced repetition system schedules the reappearance of each card, with correctly answered cards returning less frequently and missed cards reappearing the next day. This system is scientifically proven to be effective. For users with a lot of information to memorize, Dumka can import data from a spreadsheet and convert it into a deck of cards. Users can also adjust their study schedule to match their pace and rhythm.
