Used to be great. But now you can scan your network only a measly 3 times per day for free. Requires a subscription if you want more. Failed scans due to Fing itself erroring out also counts towards that 3 times/day quota, which is pretty silly.
Apparently this is because "Fing serves millions of users daily"... except I'm scanning via the clunky Fing Desktop I've installed on my own PC on my own Network, not relying on their cloud or anything. Pretty ridiculous and seems like they're now really desperate to get people to get their subscription.
Fing is up to 3.7.1 now, and I installed it for connectivity alerts. That's not part of the Freemium. You can test your speed, see your devices & their IP, and some other things. Requires an account.
Fing was great, unfortunately since their last update to 2.8.0 (and I've been running it on Android, windows, apple iPhone X, iPad mini 4 and IOS Monterey) most of the functionality has failed with error messages "service not found", Also the windows desktop need to be reinstalled almost daily as it doesn't work. what a real shame, it started out being so good. I've cancelled my subscription after it appeared that there is no fix.
