Of all the cost effective / boutique email services, forwardmail.net is the best. Well engineered and KISS.

They have very bad customer service. Because they are angry for some reason I don't know they canceled a service I was subscribed to without any warning or warning message. (outbound SMTP)

They also do not respond to messages until after several days.

They also have hidden terms and services that are not what they say in their documentation.

It uses quantum safe ChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption and offers SMTP, IMAP, POP3, email webhooks, email regular expressions, email API, MX relay, SMTP relay, dedicated SMTP servers, IP reputation monitoring, email DKIM signatures, free email forwarding, and lets you send emails with JavaScript, Node.js, Ruby, Python, and more.

Unlike other providers, it is 100% open-source (both front-end and back-end) and uses individually encrypted SQLite mailboxes.
