Freemake Video Converter is not only great to convert local video, it can also download online videos from a lot of sites, like Youtube, and convert them even in MP3 :) !

Used to be a real free video converter, now it asks for money to remove its logo from the converted video and to deal with subtitles. Not a good choice anymore.

I agree and I definitely think this software should be re-categorized as "Commercial" instead of "Freemium/Proprietary" on AlternativeTo...

Don't buy this converter. It always crashes. I was not able to convert any 4K Video at medium quality. This application feels imho like a scam.

It used to be good, but no longer. They put watermark which makes the video unusable forcing you to buy "gold pack". Bad step. I would prefer adware, but clean video with full speed encoding.
