Yeahhh...I mean, it does let one take notes, and in Markdown. But not all of the effects of Markdown are enabled, though almost. I was about to install it since I love FUTO Keyboard and Live Captions, but then I saw it's not FOSS.
This isn't Open Source, they are using a custom license - Source First License 1.1
The problem is it's not entirely proprietary either, not even as restrictive as source available, so calling it proprietary (and implying such) is also wrong.
Hang about, this site should at the very least have a source available tag, not having one is inexcusable at this point.
It is "open source", but it's not completely free where you can do anything with it. It's not FOSS, like @barmunk said.

George9494 Sorry you find it “inexcusable”. It's on our roadmap to add a source-available checkbox (like the open source one), but we have very limited resources, so I'm sorry if it takes some time.
Since FUTO is now spearheading "source-first", it would be appreciated if that was considered too. PS. I admit it's harsh and some people may disagree with me, but imo being free isn't an excuse for such prolonged delays in updating software to allow accurate reporting, however here isn't the place to discuss effective management techniques.
